Our 18 year old, Dillon, said to me a couple weeks ago, “Hey Dad, wasn’t there some kind of shakeup in the Heavyweight Division in Boxing?”
In so many words I told him, “Yeah, it was a big upset. The guy who won, took the fight on short notice because the original oponent got popped for using PED’s. He doesn’t really look fit or like he pays much attention to his diet. But his hands are crazy fast – look it up, it’s insane!”
Dillon looked and was making the typicaly reactive sounds and a few chuckles that you’d expect someone to have when they see the highlights for the first time.
Then he really was having a good laugh and turned to me and said “Dad, look at his celebration, it’s so…” then he paused for a moment, seemingly searching for the correct word and then nailed it when he said “….Childlike!”

I laughed too, when I thought about the contrast of someone that just became heavyweight champion of the world (sometimes referred to as the “Baddest Man on the Planet”) and his celebration mirrors that of any 7 year old that just kicked the winning goal on their Recreational Soccer Team.
